Naomi Campbell Retrospective Show @ 2008 Miami Art Basel
Covering this event was such a challenge, but so much fun! I was originally assigned to shoot Ms. Campbell in front of some of her images. Thinking I would have 1 on 1 time with the famed supermodel, I packed only my portrait gear. However upon arriving to the event I found that was not the case. I was put into be in the pit with all of the other press shooters fighting for a spot to get a shot of her. I was not equipped with my long lens to shoot from a long distance. So I improvised by stepping back and documenting the media frenzy that surround Naomi on all sides. In the end the client was very happy and that was all that mattered for me. It was a fun learning experience that I will never forget.
