The Painter

I created this image shortly after a trip to the Brooklyn Museum
about 2 years ago. I was very inspired by this painting.
I believe was it was done by James Wyeth.
It has been a longtime so I maybe mistaken as to the creator.
I thought it would be a fun project to work on and tweak my own
versionof this image full of endows. Apparently the male talent
was so well endowed that the female refused to look in the
direction of his member for the shoot.I end up using her shy
and bashful emotions in the way I placed her.
I figure once a subject looks uncomfortable with something
they are doing it is hard to get them to relax. I find that the
only remedy is to ask them what would make them feel at
ease and try to make that work for me. I ended up
with a great image that I was proud of and still am.

Badara Ndiaye - Model

Had the pleasure of meeting this young man in Miami during a casting for an editorial. His name is Badara, he is a about 6' 8" and he is from Senegal. This tall gentle giant carries himself like a warrior prince and a graceful dancer at the same time. A friend of mine ran into him working in a clothing store. My friend was so taken by his look that he had to walk up to Badara and ask, "what the hell are you doing working at this store!?".  I believe with the right book and agent this kid could be huge. I really hope to have the opportunity to shoot another portrait of him instead of just a casting image. Good Luck Badara!

Yumi - NYC

Michael - Miami

I shoot this image of Michael recently while conducting a casting for an
upcoming editorial shoot in Miami. I really wish I could have use this young man for the shoot. However the client didn't dig the tattoo. Personally I
think it's freaking sweet! Let me know what you think. .

ZHEN - a simple portrait with natural lighting

I really just love shooting a simple portrait with natural light  whenever possible. There is something exciting about hunting for the right spot with just the right lighting. The right kind of lighting to capture my subject in a perfect sliver of time . Am looking forward to getting back to this kind of picture taken practice in 2010.

MaƱana mi amor ...

These images are apart of a sexy series I shoot recently. Gerard (BRPR Miami) and I wanted to capture a really sensual twilight-like make out session. I believe we we're very successful. It was such a interesting challenge for me to do this shoot. I've shoot men and women together plenty of times in the past. However this time proved to be extremely different. Doing this shoot felt a bit like directing soft porn without ever losing any of the clothing. LOL! I found it to be a great learning experience for myself. It was an awesome excerise, teaching me how to extract great performances from any subject I shot in the future. These are the three strongest images from that day and I hope you like them.
